Obituary

Annie Horne Fuller was born May 21, 1934 in Anson County to the late Walter Alexander Horne and Annie Huntley Horne. On Monday, July 16, 2018 Annie made a peaceful departure from this world and took rest with the Lord.

Annie attended Red Hill Elementary and graduated from Deep Creek High in Anson County. She attended Providence Baptist Church for many years with her late husband; before returning to her first home, United Institutional Baptist. She served faithfully in the church and attended early morning services. Annie was a licensed beautician who graduated from Maco Beauty College. She furthered her studies and graduated from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University.

Mrs. Annie Fuller was a loving individual who did not mind helping others. For twenty-three years she served seniors and retirees of Guilford County as a placement technician for Guilford County Department of Social Services. She volunteered for many years at the Hayes Taylor YMCA; as she was instrumental in raising funds for the youth programs. For her efforts she was awarded the YMCA's Century Club Award for dedicated service. Ms. Fuller had a servant's heart; she enjoyed entertaining others. She had an immeasurable love for flowers, gardening, cooking, and most importantly people.

In April 1959 Annie married Mr. Ernest Crosby Fuller, Sr., who preceded her in death. To this union four children were born; Ernest, Tony, Bernard, and Brenda. Annie was preceded in death by her son, Bernard D. Fuller in 2009.

Annie leaves to cherish her wonderful memories three children: Ernest (Evelyn) Fuller of Washington, D.C., Tony (Malinda) Fuller of Greensboro, NC, and Brenda Kay Fuller of Greensboro, NC. A daughter-in-law, Vanessa Fuller Mercer of Greensboro, NC. Three brothers: Walter (Pauline) Horne of Wadesboro, NC, Moses (Bernice) Horne of Charlotte, NC, and Jasper (Shrell) of Browns Summit, NC. One sister: Texie Mae Bullard of Charlotte, NC. A brother, Jobie (Shirley) Horne, proceeded Annie in death.

A service honoring her life will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at United Institutional Baptist Church; 802 E. Market St. Greensboro, NC. The visitation will begin at 10 am and the service will follow at 11 am. The interment will take place following the service at Lakeview Memorial Park; 3600 N O' Henry Blvd. Greensboro, NC.
