Alma Doris Williams Green, passed away on Sunday, July 27 at 4pm at High Point Regional Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on July 1, 1930. Alma was preceded in death by her father: Jessie Williams; mother: Inez Caffey Williams; sisters: Etta Boyd, Eleanor Smack, Inez Williams, Jessie Williams, and brother: William Williams. Alma was a very thoughtful person and at an early age she developed strong work ethics. She worked at Norvell Tent Company until she retired at the age of 70. She always said "if a person don't want to work they will steal, and if you lie you will cheat and steal." She enjoyed entertaining, traveling and going to bible study and church. She was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church and served as a deaconess. Alma leaves to cherish her memories: sons: Otis Larmar Green of New York, New York, James Vernon Green (Barbara) of Greensboro, North Carolina; daughter: Mary Diane Fox of High Point, North Carolina; grandchildren: Rebecca Fox, Curtis Lowe, Jerome Fox, Melissa Coalson, Theresa Fox, Jimmy Green, James Green and Asmar Fox, all of Greensboro, North Carolina; nine (9) great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
