Mother Alice Laval was born on April 30, 1932 in Holly Hill, South Carolina, to the late Benjamin and Marie Brown.

Alice entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Wellington Oaks. She attended Roberts High School in South Carolina. She was united in holy matrimony to her late husband Isaac Laval, and from their union nine children were born: one daughter Rose Marie, and two sons Irvin and Curtis Laval are deceased.

She gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She was a member of Saint James United Holy Church, Outreach Missionary Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina, and currently a member of Love Fellowship Believers. She was a mother of the church and a faithful member who loved singing praises to the Lord. Her favorite song was 'Can't Nobody Do Me Like Jesus'. Mother Laval was a devoted mother who loved laughter, and enjoyed life to the fullest! She also loved babysitting her grandchildren, enjoyed fishing, traveling, singing, and dancing.

She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters and one son: Lottie Neal (Robert), Daisy Holliman, Marie Harris, Lenner Laval-Williams (Greg) of Greensboro, NC, Cynthia Laval Glaspie (Maurice) of Magnolia, NC, and Eric Laval of Austell, Georgia.

Grandchildren: Sylvia Shade, Lynn Brown, Carmen Alexander, Jeremy Neal, Marcus Neal, Sheryl Morehead, Shawn Holliman, Chicora Michael, Derrick O'Neal, Gerald Williams, Nicholas Laval, Justin Brown, Tamesha Coleman, Tacia Laval. Nineteen great grand children, one great great grand. Sisters Lucille Burwell and Deloris West of Boston, Massachusetts, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A service honoring her life will be held at The Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel; 909 East Market Street, Greensboro NC 27401 on Sunday, December 15, 2019. The visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and the service will follow at 1:30 pm. The interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery; 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro, NC 27455.
