Alfreda "Freda" Malcolm Williams, 66, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 peacefully in the comfort of her home. She leaves 5 children from a past marriage to Charles Williams: 2 daughters Crystal Williams of Greensboro, North Carolina and Cherie Williams of Durham, North Carolina; 3 sons, Charles and wife Rhonda Malcolm, Willie Williams and Andrew Malcolm all of Greensboro, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Born in Richmond County on November 13, 1952 to Kathleen "Sister" Jones and Winslow Ellerbe Sr, proceeded in death by brother Winslow "Boot" Ellerbe St; Dale Dunn and Andrew Malcolm adopted Freda shortly after birth. While a resident of Richmond County, Freda was an active member of Miracle Valley Deliverance Church, where she played the keyboard and participated on the worship team. Freda later moved to Guilford County, attended Guilford Technical Community College and served on the Greensboro Transit Authority Advisory Board. Freda was an active member of Love and Faith Christian Fellowship Church where she served in various ministries. She retired from Guilford County Schools in October 2018. A service honoring her life will be held at Love and Faith Christian Fellowship; 4344 Blackberry Road, Greensboro North Carolina, 27406 on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. The visitation will begin at 11:30 am and the service will follow 12:00 pm. The Interment will take place following the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro, North Carolina 27455.
