Mickle was called by God on Thursday, November 1, 2012 to enter into eternal rest. He was born on March 11, 1936 in Lancaster County, South Carolina to the late Gilbert and Blanche Mickle. Albert was educated in the Lancaster County School System. He moved to Greensboro, North Carolina and married Beulah L. Mickle (Hough) who preceded him in death. They were blessed with forty-nine (49) years of marriage.Albert worked for many years at Jefferson Pilot, and then later for Newman Machine Company with more than thirty (30) years of dedicated service until his retirement.Albert joined Reid Memorial C.M.E. Church on January 30, 2011, where he publicly confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of the male chorus. Also, he had a passion for gardening and working on cars.Albert was preceded in death by brothers: Dom Mickle and Junie Mickle; sister: Ruth Mickle and nephew Ed Mickle.Albert leaves to cherish his memory: sons: Christopher A. Mickle and Zotis K. Mickle, both of Greensboro, North Carolina; godson: Aaron Hough; sisters: Mary (Mae) Gilchrist and Louise (Fret) Villines (Al) both of Greensboro, North Carolina; Mamie Jackson, Lula (Lu) Foster both of Lancaster, South Carolina; sisters-in-law; five (5) grandchildren: Chonta McNeil, Quentin McNeil, Byron Mickle, Dontel Mickle and Whitney Fox, all of Greensboro, North Carolina; four (4) step grandchildren all of Greensboro, North Carolina; six (6) great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
