Albert Kight Sr; age 74, was born on May 25, 1945 in Camden County, Georgia to the late Joe and Ardena Kite. He transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at his home in Greensboro, NC. His last employment was at Fieldcrest-Cannon Corporation in Rockwell NC, were he was employed for 28 years. He was joined in holy matrimony to Geraldine Phillips Kight, who preceded him in death. Five siblings preceded him in death along with his grandson: Joe Kight Jr., Howard Kight, Douglas Kight, Mary Walker, Berlie Mae Jones and Rashard Phillips. Those to cherish his memories are sons: Raymond (Princess) Phillips and Alvin (Janice) Kight both of Greensboro NC, Albert (Ronnita) Kight, Jr. of Guyton GA. and Anthony (Christina) of Hickory NC; daughter: Ardena Kight of Guyton GA. Brothers: Edward Kight and Robert Kight (Rose Bell) of Woodbine, GA; Sisters: Janie Walker (Emanuel), Verdie Lee Mainor of White Oak GA, Emma Hill (McArthur) of Woodbine GA. Brother-in-law: Randolph Phillips and Thomas Spencer of Salisbury, NC. Sister-in-law: Loretta Kight of Woodbine GA, Mary Ann Phillips of Greensboro NC, Stella Hurd of Kannapolis NC and Louise Adams of Garner NC. He has 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives. A service honoring his life will be held Wednesday Jul 31, 2019, at Holy Tabernacle of Jesus Christ; 325 Malcolm Rd. Salisbury, NC. Visitation will begin at 11:30am with service following at 12pm.
